FLC, YAO clinch comprehensive cooperation agreement in agriculture

FLC and Israeli-backed YAO Group October 23 inked a comprehensive cooperation agreement in agriculture with the witness of the Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam and the local authorities of the northern province of Nam Dinh.  

Under the agreement signed at FLC’s Hanoi-based headquarter, the two groups will jointly establish a company named FLC & YAO Vietnam which will implement agricultural projects under Israeli technology in Vietnam. Nam Dinh, about 90 kilometers southeast of Hanoi, is a province gathering all favorable conditions for developing hi-tech agriculture and will also the place for the first project in this cooperation program between FLC and YAO.

YAO – a member of Tair Law and Finance Co. Ltd – represents for Israeli agricultural solutions in Vietnam and looks forwards to developing markets for products and projects. The Israeli group has been operating in the Asian market in the area of business development for hi-tech firms as well as carrying out large-scale projects for 20 years.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, FLC General Director Doan Van Phuong highly appreciated the signing of the comprehensive cooperation agreement between FLC and YAO. According to Mr Phuong, in addition to real estate and financial investment, his group focuses on agro-chemicals and agricultural products. The signing of the agreement reaffirms the strategy and determination of FLC in agricultural sector that has defined as a pillar of Vietnam’s economy.

“We believe that the cooperation between FLC and YAO will attain good results, implementing a lot of agricultural projects in future in Vietnam, bringing about multi-faced benefits for both parties, helping to tighten friendship relations between the two nations,” he said.

On behalf of YAO Group, General Director Omri Horowitz highly appreciated financial and management capabilities and FLC’s long-term strategic vision as well and expressed his honour to cooperate with FLC.

“We are delighted when the two parties have gone to the official signing of this agreement. As a company operating in the area of agricultural technology for many years, we pledge to bring the most advanced Israeli technologies to Vietnam. I believe this agreement is not only beneficial to Yao and FLC but also helps change the facelift of Vietnam’s agriculture,” said Mr Horowitz.

Meanwhile, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Meirav Eilon Shahar also expressed her pleasure to witness the signing ceremony and pledged continuos support for the cooperation relation between FLC and YAO in particular and between Vietnam and Israel in general.

At the ceremony, Mr Bach Ngoc Chien, vice Chairman of Nam Dinh provincial People’s Committee said Nam Dinh always rolled out red carpets to welcome investors in general, FLC and YAO in particular to do business in the province.

“I understand that technology is a key solution to Nam Dinh’s agriculture now. Therefore, we pledge to create the most favourable conditions for the cooperation program between FLC and YAO,” said Chien.

At the end of the ceremony, Mr Phuong expressed thanks to the Israeli Ambassador and Nam Dinh province’s leader who had greatly supported the cooperation relation between the two groups. He also expects to continue to receive strong support from the ambassador and Nam Dinh’s leader in order that the cooperation program between FLC and YAO would achieve good results.
